The day starts with a central London pick-up at 9am, where your tour guide for the day and coach will be waiting for you.
Once on-board we'll give you a brief history of English wine and some interesting facts about wine (and cheese) in general as we make our way down to Chapel Down Vineyard.
At the vineyard itself we will enjoy a full tour of the vineyard and winery, followed by a guided tasting of 6 of their award winning English wines. Then join us in the Chapel Down's delightful herb garden, for a light lunch, served with a glass of English Rose.
After lunch we head to Silcock's Dairy who are well known for their cheeses and organic produce. Once there we'll learn about the cheese making process, say hello to the cows and then for the main event our English Wine & English Cheese pairing.
Our English wine expert guide will introduce you to 6 of our favourite English wines, and pair them with 6 of our favourite English cheeses, while teaching you the all important art of pairing food and wine. If you are a cheese and wine fan, then this is an event not to be missed.
After the pairing you can purchase the cheeses we've sampled along with an array of delicious goodies from the Silcock's Farm Shop. Then we bid farewell to our hosts and head back up to London to arrive at approximately 6.30pm.
This is a full day tour filled with English wine, English cheese and a great way to see the beautiful English countryside with a day trip from London.
